Saturday Night Racing Cup Series — Season 6 Rulebook
Consent to Rules & Amendments
By participating in the Saturday Night Racing Cup Series, you agree to all current rules and any amendments made during the season. Rules can be amended at any time by league administration.
Driver Eligibility
Open to all licensed iRacing members. Drivers must be at least 16 years of age to participate.
Charter System
Charters guarantee entry to all events, similar to the NASCAR charter system. Charter holders receive priority entry and are expected to participate in all scheduled events.
Event Timeline
9:00 PM Practice Opens
10:00 PM Qualifying (2 laps, single car)
10:05 PM Race Start
Weather & Setups
Realistic weather is enabled for all events. Open setups are permitted. Auto-fill fuel is enabled.
Tires
Fixed tire limitations are enforced per track type. Tire management is a key component of race strategy.
Qualifying
2-lap maximum per car during qualifying sessions. Any violations of qualifying procedures will result in penalties.
Race Starts
Single-file restarts are enforced after cautions in the final laps of the race.
Overtime / Green-White-Checkered
The Green-White-Checkered (GWC) rule is in effect. Up to 3 overtime attempts will be made before the race is declared official.
Cautions & Yellow Line
The yellow-line rule is enforced at superspeedways (Daytona, Talladega). No passing below the yellow line. Violations will result in a penalty.
Black Flags
Drivers who receive a black flag must serve the penalty within 3 laps or face disqualification from the event.
Connectivity Issues
Each driver is allowed 1 free disconnection per season. Additional disconnections may result in a DNF with no points awarded for the event.
Caution Penalties
First 85% of Race-5 pts per caution caused
Last 15% of Race-10 pts per caution caused
Warning System
3 Warnings = 1-race probation
5 Warnings = Suspension from the series
In-Race Chat
Chat must be racing-related only. Excessive or inappropriate chat will result in a warning.
Intentional Wrecking
Intentional wrecking results in immediate suspension with a minimum 2-race ban. All incidents are reviewed by league officials.
Teams
Maximum 4 drivers per team, minimum 2. Pit road rules are enforced per NASCAR standards.
Retaliation
No retaliation is allowed on track. Both parties will receive penalties if found guilty of retaliatory actions.
Slow / Damaged Cars
Drivers who are 5+ laps down or unable to maintain competitive pace must exit the track to avoid interfering with the leaders.

Chase (Playoffs)
Top 14 drivers after Race 17 advance to the Chase
Chase begins Race 18 (Talladega)
Points reset: 1st = 2025, 2nd = 2015, 3rd = 2012, 4th = 2010, then decreasing by 1 per position
4-race playoff format through Talladega, Homestead, Michigan, Bristol
Championship Race: Kansas (Race 22)
Paint Schemes
Custom paint schemes are encouraged but must be appropriate. Offensive or inappropriate designs will not be permitted.
Custom Numbers
Custom car numbers are available upon request. Contact league administration for availability.
Discord
Discord is required during all race events for communication. All drivers must be in the designated voice channel during practice, qualifying, and the race.
